    Brought in by CEO of Economic Development Agency to develop his leadership, refine an international strategy, maximize resources, and enhance organization's investment attraction performance.

    We worked through a bespoke virtual, 6 session leadership development process:

    Introduction: This online questionnaire got us acquainted, explored context and challenges and set the foundation and structure for our sessions. I reviewed the feedback and refined the leadership development process.

    Reflection: The CEO completed a short assignment before each session to prepare and provide content for each session.

    Discussion: Each session focused on addressing a specific. real-time issue identified by the CEO. My targeted questions and insight empowered the CEO. It's a "safe space" to be real and vulnerable with "an equal".

    Action: A follow-on assignment after each session equips the CEO to effectively implement insight from sessions.

  • Executive Career Coaching

    Brought in by senior executive in Provincial Government to help navigate an international career roadblock and move to the next career phase.

    We worked through a virtual, 6 session leadership development process including:

    Introduction: This online questionnaire got us acquainted, explored career considerations and challenges and set the foundation for issues to address. I reviewed the feedback and created a coaching proposal.

    Each session then had 3 parts:

    Reflection: The executive completed a short assignment before each session to prepare and provide context for each session.

    Discussion: We focused on working through reflection assignment to clarify values, cultivate passions, create a vision, collect feedback, and chart a way forward. My targeted questions and guidance empowered the executive to uncover latent insight.

    Action: A follow-on assignment after each session equiped the executive to effectively implement insight from sessions.

Performance Coaching

  • Executive Team Coaching

    Brought in by Leader of Charity to address executive team performance issues and enable the team to more forward to deliver on the organization’s vision.

    I worked with each executive through a bespoke, 6 session personal and professional development process:

    Introduction: This online questionnaire got us acquainted, explored context and challenges and set the foundation and structure for our sessions. I reviewed the feedback and created a plan for our engagement.

    Reflection: Each executive completed a short assignment before each session. This prepared them and provided content for each session.

    Discussion: Each session focused on addressing specific real-time issues identified through the questionnaire and organizational performance review.

    Action: A follow-on assignment after each session equips each executive to effectively implement insight from sessions.

  • FDI Capacity Building

    Contracted by Executive Director in Provincial Government to build the capacity of staff in Canada and in Japan, Germany, China, South Korea, Singapore, USA and Mexico.

    I worked with team members through individual and group sessions, taking them through a bespoke 7 step capacity building process:

    Survey: An online questionnaire to get acquainted with and set foundation for work with each individual executive.

    Strengths: I helped each executive identify and work from their strengths. I also helped them clearly understand the "why" behind their work.

    Skills: Executives were equipped with the skills I learned and used myself to generate leads, identify opportunities, and build networks.

    Strategy: I helped executives refine their market strategies for enhanced engagement.

    Stakeholders: Executives were equipped to engage more effectively with multiple stakeholders.

    Success: Executives identified a specific project and I helped them apply learnings for enhanced delivery.

Project Advancement

  • FDI Attraction Specialist

    Brought in by Executive Director of a Rural Economic Development Agency, through CanExport Community Investments Fund, to lead FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) attraction.

    I bridged an investment attraction capacity gap through:

    Strategic Focus: I clarified and operationalized their investment attraction strategy by overlaying the region's offering with relevant investment attraction opportunities.

    Investment Attraction Mission: I prepared for and delivered a investment attraction mission. This included qualifying leads, identifying events, preparing pitch materials, generating leads, identifying opportunities, gathering intelligence and cultivating "warm" decision-maker connections.

    Capacity Building: I coached the Executive Director on how to deliver investment attraction initiatives.

    Opportunity Report: I delivered a comprehensive report that included leads, intelligence and opportunities for the Executive Director and Agency to action.

  • FDI Profile Enhancement

    Contracted by senior Commercial Diplomat at Embassy to enhance FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) attraction messaging and reach new decision-makers.

    My work included:

    Stakeholder Engagement: I convened multiple stakeholders with an interest in the project, guiding discussions, clarifying intentions, generating consensus, and offering insight and innovation.

    Magazine Article: I refined, re-wrote and placed a FDI profile article in a major national magazine basing it on a consultative sales approach.

    Webinar Delivery: Deliver an innovative webinar that approaches investors from a different angle. I take on the role of expansion consultant, offering expansion advice and insight from my personal experience starting 23 international offices, leading staff, and managing risks.
